Please note there are internal coefficients on each ship which further modifies the amount of XP gained, meaning that one ship will earn more experience than another for the exact same accomplishment, even if the ships are the same type (destroyer, cruiser, battleship, carrier, etc). After having a conversation with iChase in regards to feedback that was being given by another contributor, it's rather clear to me that the reward system for experience isn't very well explained.
